Corridor Springs Hotel all out to motivate workers

By Edward Selasini

Worker of Corridor Springs Hotel in Arusha, off Old Moshi road, have all reasons to smile throughout the year.

When celebrating the new year last week at  the Olduvai  Inn, not at their own  immaculate and  pleasant facility,  the hotel workers were promised a 20 percent rise in their salaries this year.

During  the gathering two best workers for 2009 were awarded by the hotel general manager John Njoroge. The awarded workers were Glory Mwanri who received cash award of Tsh.700,000 and Reginald Urassa who pocketed Tsh.300,000.

Njoroge promised all the hotel workers a 20 per cent salary increase come October 2010.

Njoroge said, amid cheers, the increment was meant to motivate workers to work harder and promote the hotel image and its business performance in the process.

The manager told the workers that hard work and diligence and good pay were interdependent.

A representative of the workers, executive housekeeper Lydia Mwemezi, called on  the hotel management  to keep on motivating its workers for delivery of better services to customers.

The Corridor Springs hotel is owned by the North-Central Diocese ELCT whose headquarters is in Arusha.
