TPC hosts Northern Province golf
tourney
The TPC grounds in Moshi will be a beehive of golfing
activities this weekend as golfers from all over the country brace to
set their own records.
Tanzania Golf Union`s sanctioned Northern Province
championship tees off at the TPC-Moshi Club on Saturday .
The entry fees for the two days 36 holes strokeplay championship has
been set at Sh 25,000.
Eligible players are those with handicap limit of 24 for men while
ladies have been extended invitation as well, reports the Guardian.
Players are expected from Arusha, Morogoro, Moshi, Dar es Salaam and
elsewhere.
This is TGU`s event that runs towards order of merit for local amateurs.
The event was expected to preceded by the second leg of Professional
Golfers Association of Tanzania`s order of merit series that tees off
tomorrow.
More than ten professionals indicated to participate in the nine-hole
TPC plantation golf course for the 72-hole event.
Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club’s Rajab Idd is leading the pack of the
professionals after excelling in the first leg that ended on Sunday in
Dar es Salaam.
The club will also host its open championship on March 7 and 8.
