The five day training on
HIV-Aids was meant to prepare girls to face challenges of life
that may prompt them to embark on dangerous lifestyles that
could cost them their dignity or lives. We intend to spread the
word and mission onto the female youths living in rural areas.

HIV-Aids and child pregnancies
are what reduce female students from being promising future
leaders or parents to losers in life. It is the first time I am
undergoing this training and have realized that they are quite
useful in helping save our pupils and students.

The training has equipped us
with skills that will come handy back at our schools where we
intend to educate other teachers as well as students on these
important life skills. The training series are tailor-made for
female students starting from age 12.

Stigma against people with HIV
is still a problem in our society and this hinders the war
against such infection. As we observe the World’s AIDS day the
latest mission is to ensure that by 2010, that is next year,
many victims should be receiving proper care, nutrition and
health services such as retroviral drugs that must be made
available to all, easily and free of charge.
