Aiming at improved performance
Peak Performance International (T) specializes in Human
Potential Development Trainings. Phillemon Kisamo, Managing Director of
the company explains in an interview how PPI is striving to empower
people of Africa and beyond.
Capt.
Phillemon Kisamo,
Q: What is
Peak Performance?
This involves
developing people for them to perform better in their personal lives as
well as at their places of work. It is proven that SUCCESS is 80%
Psychology (attitudes, beliefs, culture etc) and 20% Skills
(education and work experience). We train people to look and address
their attitudes, beliefs, and culture which pays major role in SUCCESS.
We use modern training technology of change developed to bring life long
transformation in the individuals’ internal programming. Methods used
include Neuro Associative Conditioning, Neuro Linguistic Programming,
and Experiential Learning,
We have:

Q: Where did
PPI start?
A: The
company is a brainchild of Mr. James Gitau who gave deep thought to
causes of people and organization sub-optimal performance. In 2001 he
established Peak Performance International - Kenya Ltd.
Peak Performance
International Tanzania Ltd was established in 2006 and only shares brand
name with the other sister companies also in Uganda and soon Rwanda.
Each company is autonomous in its area of function. We are East African
by outlook but have local focus. Collectively we have trained over
50,000 people in the East Africa region.
Q: Who is your Target Market?
A: Given
that the environment around people and organizations is constantly
changing, methods employed to achieve goals must also change. Our target
market is people as drivers of most of the systems. These need to be
developed to properly fit organizational goals.
Q: What
drives you as a company?
A: Our
Vision is “To empower the people of Africa and beyond with skills that
will stir in them the desire to unleash their full potential”. We aim to
bring about meaningful change in people that will make them realize in
them there is so much potential that unleashed, they can achieve their
dreams and live much more fulfilling lives.
Q: Account for your successful moments.
A: Every
successful transformational training is a victory to us. Precision Air,
TAHA, Stanbic Bank, Mwananchi Communications, East African Court of
Appeal, BOA Bank, Zain and KADCO are but just a few of the organizations
we have trained. Much as the list of clients is important, our success
is more in terms of the accrued change in people.
Q: What is the difference with others? Why Peak Performance?
A: Our
vision, programs, methods of delivery and the people behind the company
evidences significant difference with others. Knowing that behavior and
habits are difficult to change and employing technologically proven ways
to tackle these is an attribute that makes us stand out. Necessarily our
trainings are Empowering, Educating, Experiential,
Entertaining and Exciting.
Q: Where do
you see yourself in five years time?
A: Better
performance of people and organizations will move people and the country
to the right direction socially and economically. This will be an on
going challenge and our part in it is a sure way of “our purpose of
being”. Delivering value and Continuous and Never Ending Improvement (CANI)
is our beyond five years vision. The sky is the limit.
Q: What is your parting shot
Change is
inevitable because everything around us is changing. To manage this,
people and/or organizations have to change by developing their potential
which in many of us has hardly been tapped. Once realized and unleashed
we can achieve many of our dreams and ambitions. Negative attitude,
beliefs, bad and poor culture all inhibit our ability to realize our
inner potential and live satisfying lives.
