AFC’s star likely to start shining By Titus Munga Arusha Football Club has at long last got a sponsor who will finance the team’s running costs. According to the Arusha Regional Football Association (ARFA) General Secretary, Adam Brown, the sponsor would foot bills such as players salaries, camping expenses and transportation costs. Brown, however, declined to expose the name of the sponsor saying they were still drawing up a contract. But the Arusha Times has learnt that the sponsor is one of the prominent businessmen in the country who is investing some Tsh.200 million in the regional soccer development. When approached for comment the AFC coordinator Gerald Munisi said he wasn’t ready to announce the sponsor but added that AFC would now run as a modern football club where players are contracted employees with share in gate collection in matches that they play.
