By Our Correspondent

The Rotaract Club of Usa River was formally established on 30 August 2008 with the induction of 20 members by a visiting New Zealand Past District Governor of Rotary International Stuart Batty.

Rotaract is a Rotary club-sponsored organization of young men and women between the ages of 18 and 30.

Mr Batty told the new Rotaractors “the purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills that will assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between all people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.

Rotaract is not just another club. It's a way of life.” He concluded by asking the Rotaractors to always remember the Rotaract motto: “Fellowship through service.”  The President of the club is Mr Elibariki J. Kishimbo.
