Trishala Snooker Tournament starts at AGC by Richard Gomes Trishala Rolling Mills Snooker competition which started on Wednesday, December 5 is expected to climax on December 16 at the Arusha Gymkhana Club. AGC’s snooker section Captain Hiten Nathwani said a record entry of 18 players would battle it out over the two weeks to determine the winner of the tournament. The tournament kicked off with 4 groups playing a round robin format and 8 players would then qualify for the knockout phase of the competition. The Executive Director of Trishala Rolling Mills, Arun Lodhia has reiterated his company’s stand of promoting sports in the country. Trishala Rolling Mills also supports the golf section Meanwhile, an official opening of the newly revamped snooker room was scheduled on Thursday, December 6. Rehabilitation works cost around shs 7Million. A cocktail party to commemorate the re-opening of the snooker room was also sponsored by Trishala Rolling mills.
