TACODA hosts 3rd youth
league
By Edward Selasini The Tanzania Community Development Alliance (TACODA) is hosting its third youth league in Arusha which ends on August 11. . The league is on going at the Soweto grounds at Kaloleni area in the municipality of Arusha. TACODA is an Non Governmental Organization (NGO) located at Ilkiurei ward in Arumeru District catering for orphans and vulnerable children from various regions in Tanzania. This year league is the third league since TACODA started to host the popular activity. In a press conference held on July 21 the TACODA Managing Director Donata T. Arden said this year the league is hosting more teams than it did in the previous years. In the 2006 league TACODA hosted 7 teams but this year it expects to host more than 10 teams. Gifts, trophies and certificates will be given to the wining teams in this year league. The best player and the best goalkeeper of the league will be awarded with school stationery and the best referee will also be awarded with a medal. According to the chairperson of the league committee Gema Tarimo participating teams are TACODA A, TACODA B, Kambarage FC, PEFA FC, Mount Meru Shooters and Rolling Stones FC. Other teams are Sanawari FC, Daraja Mbili Youth Center and Small Nyota FC from Unga Limited area. Small Nyota FC of Unga Limited were the winners of last year’s league.
