AA

Alcoholics are incredibly daring

by John B

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) focuses on maintaining sobriety. Most meetings which address the causes of alcoholism highlight the alcoholic’s role in arresting the malady.

Alcoholism is often described as the habitual, heavy consumption of any alcoholic drink. If left unchecked, the malady of alcoholism is a public time bomb in the making because it causes the alcoholic to get in trouble with the police, to land in jails, to abuse anything, food, sex, relationships. He/She usually dies before his time, does absurd and does incredible and tragic things while drinking such as financial mismanagement, violent behaviour and separating the family. Many alcoholics find their lives are full of anger, vindictiveness, resentment, fear, denial, dependence, self-will and irresponsibility.

Sobriety can not be realized without any responsible action which can greatly be enhanced by AA. This is a proven fact. So to the Arushans, we say, "Don’t think you will be stigmatized or afraid to visit an AA meeting. It will help arrest your malady, for the AA really works!
