Attendant reveals what she saw
As bodies of two lovers found hacked to death in a low class guest house were buried this week, police in Arusha still have no clue of who carried out the brutal murders.
The body of Upendo Njogoye was claimed by her relatives from the Mount Meru Hospital morgue on May 20 and transported to Singida for burial. Her 37-year-old boyfriend, Michael Rupia’s body was also collected from the mortuary and buried in Olmotonyi area of Ngaramtoni on Tuesday.
The two were discovered brutally murdered in Room number 2 of Meridian Guest House in Makao Mapya area. The man had a deep wound in his throat and stomach while Upendo had her neck almost separated from her body.

Kiborloni’s mitumba market moves into Moshi stadium
The once popular, Kiborloni second hand clothes market of Moshi, is no more! An order from the Moshi Municipal Council has sent the hundreds of traders there packing their wares and vacate the area. Kiborloni market, a countrywide household name, was located about 10 kilometers from Moshi town, along the Dar-es-salaam road.
The traders, to the surprise of many, have been shifted into the Memorial stadium of Moshi, situated about 5 kilometers from the town center, along the Moshi-Arusha road. Crudely erected shacks now serve as stalls for the second hand clothing materials being hung for sale.
