by sports reporter The Arusha Wazee Sports Club members are to tour Zanzibar during the Easter Weekend where they will play some friendly football matches at the invitation of the Zanzibar parliament. According to the Club's Acting Chairman, Danford Mpumilwa the members will leave Arusha on the evening of Thursday 13 April 2006 and return on Monday 17 April 2006. Mpumilwa called upon members of the Club to confirm their participation. 'We want as many members of the Club as possible to travel to Zanzibar for the Easter weekend. We would greatly appreciate if all members and their families as well as friends travel to Zanzibar for the Easter sporting bonanza." The visit will also include some tours of Zanzibar's famous tourist attractions which include the beaches and slave trade historical centres. Mpumilwa said the visit was in line with the Club's aims of promoting sporting relations between Arusha cosmopolitan residents and other urban centres in the country. A special Committee has been formed to work on the finer details of this historic trip.
