TBL, villagers locked in dispute over barley farm

A controversy between residents of Soit-Sambu village in Ngorongoro and the Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) is brewing, with each of the two parties claiming to be legal owners of the 10,000- acre barley estate located in the District.


 

Arusha now to host African Union Courts

The Tanzanian National Assembly which currently seats in the Dodoma municipality, has just ratified the protocol on the establishment of an African Union (AU) courts here in Arusha, at the same premises where the United Nations' International Tribunal for Rwanda (UN-ICTR), is currently being hosted.


 

Food shortage affects 3.7 million people

The shortage of food facing the country is more acute than earlier estimated forcing Tanzania to ask for donor countries to assist in alleviating the problem.
