LOHADA seeking support
By Staff Reporter
Flora Mbasha & Remmy Ongala are expected to hold a concert in Arusha in an effort to raise funds for the children at LOHADA.

The centre is seeking sh 3, 820,000 to support the running cost of the fund raising project.

LOHADA is a Tanzanian NGO serving disadvantaged people in Arusha and Shinyanga regions. At the moment, LOHADA only serves nursery and pre-school children aged between 0-7 years old. Our next target is to establish a primary school, which has been recently built and a dormitory, aiming to provide continual education and a safe environment for children aged over 7 years of old.

Additional funding is needed for building a dormitory. LOHADA has already sent out a proposal to local banks, hotels and a prominent safari companies. Impala hotel has already agreed to support, a few have denied and responses are still awaited from others. We will also try to approach local businessman, especially those inGemstones business.

According to Tina Tsui Fund Raising Project Coordinator, support for this fundraising project would help LOHADA look after the children better.
