Chinese delegation calls for diligence

Women in Arusha region have been challenged to double their efforts so as to boost their income.
The call was made by the chair person of All China Women Federation, Mrs Chen Xiurong during the delegations tour of Arumeru district. The delegation visited Sokon II division women welfare groups. She also inspected dairy cattle project in Maji ya Chai division.
Speaking on bilateral ties between China and Tanzania, she hailed the cordial relations between the two countries. Mrs. Xiurong observed that the friendly relations between the two countries date back to the early 1960s under the leadership of Mwalimu Julius Nyerere and Mao Tse Tung.
Mrs Xiurong promised that China will continue funding women welfare projects in Tanzania, saying that women were a kingpin in the development of any nation.
The China Federation of Women had earlier donated 40,000 US Dollars including 290 bicycles worth Tsh.80,000 each, 10 computers, five printers, one photo copy machine and 10 sewing machines to support women in Tanzania.
The delegation from China comprises seven persons who included Liang Yurin (the former chair person Shanxi Women Federation), Long Jiangwen, Song Wenyan, Zhang Zhen, Lipesong, Wang Gwishen and Hu Fan.
