Kilimanjaro Bleeds for The Earth

A century ago Kilimanjaro stood its ground
With glaciers a mile deep and spackling
The famous landmark for Africa
But now the thermometer
The palpating heart of creation bleeding
The natural indicator of the decomposing earth

Kilimanjaro the pride of Africa
Kilimanjaro the climax of beauty
Towering high on the African skyline
Beating the scotching heat of the equator
Cooling the thirst of many
But now on the verge of disaster
Hatched by the spoiler
The man with his infamous civilization

Global warming the instrument
The vessel industrialization on high seas
Massive deforestation in Brazil
Amazon and Congo forests raped
Their virginity abused with such ferocity

Kilimanjaro bleeds for the earth
With her glaciers evaporating
Her charm and beauty endangered
Tourists to lament
Tanzania, Africa in tears and sorrow
As the pride of Africa shrinks
Reeling from pain and agony
As the virus engulfs
Sneaking in with malice
With the massive exploitation of the earth
Its resources irreplanisheable though
Now with fires on unabated.
