Not yet prepared for private candidacy?

As we inch  towards the third multiparty elections in October, should we continue embracing the party affiliated candidates or  is it high time that private contenders stand  up to be voted?

The opposition in Tanzania needs to unite if it wants  to out-seat the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi. Already we have seen the benefits of having opposition parties that have been challenging bad policies and foul play in the government.
Still, the idea of having private candidates to contest for political positions is not a good one, actually the country is not yet mature for such a move and if allowed may pave way for dictatorship or tribalism.

Private candidates are going to cause great burden to our country, I mean where exactly will an individual politician without a party to monitor him, take the  grants being issued to political parties?
On what policy can a private candidate govern the country should he be elected to rule? No this idea of private candidates may actually pave way for civil conflicts.

I fully support the idea of having private candidates because the country is full of people with leadership capabilities but who are always hindered by the party bureaucracy.
If a person appears  to be a good leader, then by all means let him  be elected.  It is high time we allow changes in our political system, however the number of contenders must be controlled so as to avoid having thousand candidates.
