ISM=S Sacha Martin on her way to scoring her 8th goal of the soccer 7's tournament held in Moshi last weekend.

ISM Girls' Soccer team leads with deadly finishing

By Our Correspondent

The International School Moshi (ISM) girls' soccer team again retained their Soccer 7's title at the Bonite Bottlers sponsored Soccer 7's tournament held in Moshi last weekend.
The boys title was won for the first time by Majengo Secondary School, who beat Mawenzi Secondary School 3-0 in the final of the 16 team event.
Majengo whose victory over St Constantine's had left them in second place in their pool, then beat Bongo Stars in the quarter finals, before narrowly beating Mount Kilimanjaro School in the Semi Final, much to the delight of the noisy supporters. After a tight first half in the final they cruised through the second half scoring 3 goals against a demoralized Mawenzi team.
In the girls tournament the ISM Moshi team again proved that their precision passing game combined with deadly finishing was too much for the other teams. Sacha Martin finished the day scoring her 8th goal of the tournament to seal the final, played against a talented ISM Arusha team. Victory was a team effort and much credit must go to the defense and goalkeepers from Moshi who only conceded one goal all tournament.
Bonite Bottlers, who provided sodas for all participants and prizes to the winning teams, sponsored the tournament.
