With scorpions and vices
With intricate cobwebs that snare
The jungle out there
The journey that never ends
With wishes and hopes
With fear that simmers
The jungle out there!

With treachery and malice
With hideous mischief
The jungle out there!
Yet life that sweet
Despite the jungle out there!
With hyenas of appetite
With the scorpions that bite
The jungle out there!
The cardinal rule of time
With the scotching heat
Of the sun that burn
Or of the freezing glaciers
Of the poles that position the earth
The jungle out there!
The shrubs and thorny trees
With the birds of wing sparring
The hawks of claws hunting
The scavengers on the look
The jungle out there!
