We would like to congratulate the people who kindly built us this market thus saving us from trading on the roadsides, which was not only inconvenient for motorists but also dangerous to us. Not to mention the unhealthy display of our merchandise especially vegetables that were usually laid down on dusty or muddy ground.

Today we enjoy operating under shelter, no longer suffering from scorching sun or pouring rain, mind you, we are also much safer and the environment is much cleaner.

This is something that was not expected, at least in the near future, it unbelievable that such a modern infrastructure can be built within a short time and to our satisfaction.

As a cleaner, the work is now clearly defined. I collect left over vegetables and fruits, gather plastic bags and containers all to be kept or disposed off separately. The fruits and vegetables are converted into manure for horticultural purposes.

With the new Tengeru women market, even the garbage becomes useful. There is also the increase of traders and customers alike, in short, this place is bustling with activities, quite a boost for the Tengeru township, we are very grateful.

This new market has solved many problems especially the congestion of people. We now operate freely, with more breathing space and under permanent shelter, safe from dust, rain and sun.

I however appeal to my colleagues that we must make efforts to ensure that this market premises are kept clean and fully maintained, our benefactors spent so much on it and we must show our gratitude by valuing this priceless gift.

At last, the road leading to Duluti has been cleared and the problem of traders blocking the way solved for good. Still, the market is not big enough to handle the traffic of auction days that are held on Saturdays and Wednesdays. In fact, during the harvest seasons of between July and December, the market will be overwhelmed. Still the market is a great boost to us. It has 16 latrine pits, clean water and a garden that can be used as a training field for local women.
