By Staff Writer

The Arusha Rally cars, that took part in the first leg of the African Championship Motor rally held in Dar-es-salaam last weekend managed to finish the event although one of them, the Baba-Dee team, suffered some mishaps.

The Arusha Motor Sports club entered four cars under the Sunvic rally team, being driven by Amarjeet Dillion, Azar Amour, N.Hans and Khalid Kassam and it was the only club in the event to record highest finishing at the 3rd, 4th, 7th and 9th positions, respectively.

David Kidawawa of the Baba-Dee team, was involved in an accident when his Subaru Legacy rolled over at a rather tricky junction. According to his press officer Boniface Kiwia, many other vehicles faced the same mishaps.
