Project Chef: A Credible Alternative

Dear Editor,

I read in a recent edition of your newspaper about a child sponsorship programme.
May I bring to your readers attention that the Rotary Club of Arusha introduced such a programme some years ago which is supported by Rotarians in New Zealand and Australia.
Known as "project chef", the project "clothes, houses, educates and feeds" children in the Arumeru area who through circumstance need assistance.
For a donation of one-hundred thousand shillings, each sponsorship provides the necessities of life mentioned above for one year.
This includes school fees and uniforms. Rotary does not deduct any administrative costs, therefore every shilling given goes to the wellbeing of the child.
May I commend this programme to your readers as a credible alternative to others offered in the community. Donations should be sent to the president of the Rotary Club of Arusha, P. O. Box 637, Arusha and marked "Project Chef."
