Justine Nyari, Managing Director of J. N. Mining and also an executive of the Arusha Parking System will spend the next 30 years in jail after being found guilty of armed robbery. He was convicted of the offence, with another Arusha resident, Abdullah Mussa, by the Arusha Resident Magistrate's Court on January 31. The offence was committed on December 6, 2002 involving robbery of Tanzanite gemstones worth 30m/= property of a local company known as River Gems.
