Mt. Meru Hospital accredited in HIV care and treatment

Mount Meru Hospital is one of five facilities that have been identified in the country for accreditation as national centres to provide comprehensive HIV care and treatment.
The accreditation, an initiative of the government and Abbot Fund, improves the capacity of the health facilities so that they are able to do "a holistic and wider range of tests and care for needing clients".

Standstill as Kikwete campaign trail hits town

Public transport in Arusha 'City' was brought to a standstill last Sunday when the presidential candidate for the Ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete moved into town for the Arusha leg of his countrywide political campaigns.

Leopard kills six-year-old French boy

A six-and-half-year old French boy was last Saturday evening killed by a leopard within the Tarangire National Park, about 115 kilometres southeast of Arusha municipality.
