Battle for Arusha's seat gains speed

Aspirants for the parliamentary seat in the Arusha Urban constituency have chosen a less trodden path in fighting for the ultimate quest. Instead of holding the usual campaign meetings, the contenders are instead doing a 'stealth' routine, going door to door trying to convince residents that they should vote for them.

Cell phones now major cause of road accidents

Arusha region has called for immediate enactment of law banning drivers from using hand-held mobile phones while driving, with police officials saying related accidents are on the increase..

World Bank programme assists Hanang

Livestock keepers in Hanang district, Manyara region will benefit from the second phase of the World Bank-supported Participatory Agricultural Development and Empowerment Programme which has just taken off.
