Customers of the Arusha branch of Stanbic Bank won cash prizes in a draw held on April 9 at its offices along Sokoine Road. The draw dubbed Double Your Money and Win Cash started on January 24 to March 31 this year.
The guest of honour was Dr. Kipyego Cheluget, Deputy Secretary General of the East African Community heading Projects and Programmes. He urged Stanbic Bank customers to continue using the available banking facilities as some of them are not easy to find in other banks.
Since the draw started in January, Stanbic Bank customers who had opened their accounts in that period had been receiving token prizes such as T-shirts.
Three Arusha residents emerged winners of the draw as follows: Patrick Gabriel scooped Tsh.250,000 cash while Christopher Nselles and John Mgonja each won Tsh.100,000 cash.
Speaking with Arusha Times, the Branch Manager, Margret Samson said they had started the draw in order to mobilize people to deposit their money in Stanbic Bank as well as acquire a saving culture. She said the management is planning other draws.
