Young generation relish with IT exhibition

The three-day IT exhibition which ended last Sunday at Hotel Equator had good
response from Arusha residents.
Over 600 people attended the exhibition mostly the young generation. Many of
them told the Arusha Times that the IT exhibition had opened Arusha resident
minds in information technology.
The event organizer, A & A Computers Ltd., Managing Director, Mr. Alex Righolt
attendance was encouraging as people in Arusha are now becoming aware of
information technology and its benefits.
In this year's exhibition there were many more new products compared to last
year. This included satellite- based Internet and computer preventative
maintenance options. Mr. Righolt said A & A Computers didn't expect direct sales
in the exhibition but better sales in the future. The company expects to hold a
IT professional seminars next year as well as conduct career talks to secondary
schools and institutes in Arusha.
A&A also expects to start computer magazines to back up the tremendous pace in
IT growth. The Arusha IT exhibitors included A & A Computers Limited as the
Arusha Node Marie, The Kilimanjaro International Institute for
Telecommunication, Electronics and Computers Limited, KK Security Express
Limited, Perfect Printers, Swift Holdings and United African Alliance Community
Center - all from Arusha town. Exhibitors from Dar es Salaam were Exact Software
Limited and iWay Africa Limited.
