Wushu group to stage karate show during Eid-Ul-Fitr

The group actually hails from Arusha, but has accredited itself with an "International" title. It will stage a live Martial arts show in the Municipality this week, at the end of the Muslim's Ramadan fasting season.

The AInternational Wushu Group@ being managed by ZB Promotions, has announced its live performance in Arusha during the Eid-El-Fitr holidays, boasting that the group=s members have been trained in Singapore.

The Group members maintain that apart from their Singapore training, they have also been conducting live shows throughout Asia, adding that it was all due to APublic Demand!@

The AInternational Wushu@ group is made up of 15 members, among them four ladies and they all perform among other feats; Kung-fu, Judo, Karate, Music, Dancing and other forms of Martial arts.

Their manager, Zuberi Mwinyi, the brains behind ZB Promotions, insists that the group can conjure up over five types of Japanese Karate moves, in addition to performing tradition dance music.

It is just fair for local residents to part with Tsh.1000 per person in order to watch the show which is set for the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium. The entrance fee for children is only Tsh.500 per head.

He names some of the group martial artists as; Black Mosses , Sensei Suleiman Kumcha, Sister Janet, Amina Ramadhan, Toto Idaya, Queen Latifa , Sho-Kosugi, Vai and Dogo Imani among others.

The show according to Mwinyi, is also being supplemented by the local ARappers@ known as ABongo Flavors@ who chant over synthesized beats playback. The Arusha rap artists to color the show include; Watu Tight, Kizazi Jeuri, and Hard-Core Unity.
