Emotional experience
Dear Editor
I read with interest the topic by Lute in this weeks Arusha
Times (January 24-30) concerning Rod Stanley a previous teacher at Mkwawa High
School.
I was a pupil at the school from 1959 to 1963 when it was, in
his words, " a Colonial school" called St. Michael's and St George's School.
A reunion was very recently held in Africa to celebrate the
anniversary of the 40th year of its closing and becoming Mkwawa High School.
Well over 130 ex pupils from all over the world attended the
three days of celebrations.
My reason for corresponding is that a small group of about 20 of us ex pupils of
St. M and St. G in fact returned to Mkwawa school on October the 4th after the
main reunion, where we were welcomed to the school by the Headmaster , the
entire teaching staff, and 750 of the current students.
The welcome was the warmest any person could ever wish to
receive, a very emotional experience. If any current or past Mkwawa students
should read this in your paper there is a web site for the school at
www.Iringa.org where many photographs are
published including our recent visit.
Yours Sincerely
Mike Warren

False prophets from America
Dear Editor,
I was shocked and disgusted to read about the crusade of
the so-called "Evangelist" or "preacher", David Terrell!! He should never have
been permitted to soil beautiful Tanzania and its lovely people with his
fraudulent "White Miracle pieces" and "Anointing oil". These shenanigans are not
only a cruel insult to the intelligence of the people but a vile desecration of
the Holy Teachings of our Saviour Jesus Christ! Tanzania, be on guard against
these false prophets from America!!!
