Braeburn School fond of exam success

By Our Correspondent

Braeburn School, Arusha has this year registered what the school’s authorities have described as "excellent examination grades". Overall pass rates were up by 12% on last year’s results.

Michael Willis, who is Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator at Braeburn and also the examinations officer, paid tribute to the work put in by both students and teachers.

"These excellent results, which are well above the UK average, show that at Braeburn, academic standards are at least as high as at any other school in East Africa," he said.

We have striven to stretch each student to reach their full potential and have introduced Thinking Skills and Revision Skills residential weekends, which have clearly benefited our students. These grades have been achieved through the dedication of Braeburn staff and also through the hard work put in by the students themselves."

The school is looking forward to welcoming back a number of students who will join others from Arusha and further afield to start A-level courses in September.
