The only entrants from
Arusha, Navraj Hans navigated by Kamaljit Vilkhu driving a Works prepared
Mitsubishi evolution 5 proved their driving skills against international and
national drivers at the general Tyre Rally of Tanzania, by finishing second
overall winners in the classified Group N category. The general Tyre Rally
of Tanzania attracted over 32 entries and was a candidate rally for the
African rally championship, it was flagged off by the Tanzanian Prime
Minister, Frederick Sumaye in Dar es Salaam.
Navraj Hans, a student of the University of Wolverhampton (UK) was the
youngest rally driver who had previously participated in several national
and club events in a Nissan 200SX. Navraj said that his newly acquired works
prepared Mitsubishi evolution has more power and handles better than the
Nissan 200SX. He is looking forward to giving the top Tanzanian rally
drivers a challenge in the forthcoming national rally championship during

Local driver wins in Dar race
