Carrying the message of hope

Members of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) from the Arusha area will be uniting during Alcohol/Drug Awareness Week to let hundreds of the students and teachers, and community from the Arusha region know "that an alcoholic or addict, can stop using alcohol/drug, lose the desire to use, and find a new way of life".

The NA and AA of the Arusha area recruited speakers to talk with people from

schools, government authorities, religious institutions and other sectors about their recovery in NA and AA, which will be run from September 20 - 25, 2004.

We want to share with members worldwide how, with just a little extra effort, our message can be carried. The Arusha area groups will be pulling together, working side by side with other areas and with the public. As a result, our participation in alcohol/drug awareness week will be an astounding success.

We can also help you if you want to stay sober in our weekly meetings at:

* The Uzima Centre at Engarenarok Lutheran Church:

A.A. Swahili meetings on Wednesdays, Sundays at 5:00pm.

N.A. Swahili meetings on Fridays at 5:00pm.

* The Arusha Community Church:

A.A. Swahili meetings on Mondays and Saturdays at 5:00pm and 10:00am respectively.

A.A. English meetings on Tuesdays at 1:00pm and 5:00pm,andon Thursdays at 1:0pm.

N.A. Swahili meetings on Thursdays at 5:00pm.

* The Christ Church Cathedral (Diocese of Mt. Kilimanjaro):

A.A. English meetings on Wednesday at 11:00am.
