BOARD GOVERNANCE SKILLS COURSE
 
BACKGROUND:

This course offers an opportunity for board members to shape their skills on how best their role in policy making would effectively influence elements of good governance (transparency, accountability, ownership and subsidiary).

Objectives:

By the end of this Module, the participants will be able to:

To discuss and understand the critical components of an effective board and explore governance themes.

To have a basic understanding of the roles and responsibilities of boards to civil society organisations.

To familiarise with best practical experiences of which boards operates.

To identify and appreciate types of confl                                 icts and mechanisms on how to manage them.

The Board building cycle

The Board & staff, partnership relations.
