Kerai receives Arch of Europe AwardBy Erasto Jones
The Tanzania Construction Company based in the Arusha municipality has been awarded the Arch of Europe International Quality Award early last month in Frankfurt, Germany. Kerai Constrution has been awarded for "immeasurable contribution to the business world for high standing and professionalism demonstrated by prestigious performance in construction industry". According to the Managing Director of Kerai, Harish Patel, their company was the only construction company in East Africa to be given such award. He pointed out the major criteria that helped them to achieve this award as quality levels established in the company, valuing customer satisfaction and provision of human resources, both technical and economic, to achieve continuous improvement, and respect for the environment. The company, apart from supplying all types of precasts, concrete blocks and tiles, it also undertakes site construction for schools, apartments. This year’s Arch of Europe International Quality Award was presented to nominees in a colourful ceremony at Frankfurt by the Arch of Europe President, Jose’ Prieto. Other companies awarded apart from Kerai, are from Europe, Asia and The Middle East.
