Objectives:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between concrete project activities and policy decision making at national and global level;

  • Develop and implement strategies for engaging local, national and international decision makers in order to influence policy and practice;

  • Initiate people-centred advocacy practices to facilitate sustained social transformation;

  • Evaluate the impact of advocacy efforts.

  • Some of the content areas are:

  • Key Advocacy concepts & approaches
  • People-Centred advocacy & rights based Governance
  • Public Policy Systems
  • Advocacy skills
  • Building organisational capacity for advocacy
  • Evaluating advocacy impact.
