Paul Matthysen newly elected Arusha

The Gymkhana Club Annual General Meeting held
at the Club premises last Sunday parted with tradition by bringing in ‘ young
blood’ into the club leadership.
Paul Matthysen was elected club chairman.
Matthyssen , elected unopposed , takes over from Gelase Rutachubirwa who has
been Chairman for the past two years and did not seek re-election. Taru Singh is
the new Vice Chairman taking over from Dr. E. Njau who also did not seek
re-election.
Hon. Secretary is M. Segule who was elected
unopposed. He takes over from Ciren Gracias who served in that position for the
past two years and did not seek re-election. Frumence Mbuya was elected to fill
the position of Treasurer that had remained vacant for the past one year.
Aziz Kassam was elected Social Member. Others
elected to the committee include Mrs. Mona Lewis, House Member. Mrs.Lewis served
as Social Member in the previous committee. Sports Member is Eddy Huslage who
takes over from Paul Matthysen. Nick Kwendo was elected to fill the position of
bar Member.
