Arusha’s own tales from the Crypt!
Glowing human skulls,
headless skeletons, Bats, Owls, Snakes and other creatures from the dark ....
Halloween is here again (Scary! Scary) so, it will be only fair if we crouch
down by the fire place and get to hear a few tales from the Crypt ... The Arusha
Crypt that is.

Let’s begin with the one about a certain soldier, who
reportedly used to live somewhere in Unga Limited.
Now! Soldiers, as we all know, are those tough guys, who eat
sharks for breakfast and get sent to fight wars, win battles, return home with a
damsel... Or Something.
Never mind, but this soldier, according to Police reports,
went home one night, then got arrested the following morning.
It is not easy to arrest a soldier, but it gets even more
difficult if the soldier in question has locked himself in a house, armed with a
machete.
At least, this is what those Police men who went round to
arrest the soldier, discovered. The Police officers also discovered that, in
that same house, lay a body of a certain woman who reportedly got butchered the
previous night.
The woman, according to this tale, heard his husband, the
soldier, knocking at the door but wasn’t quick enough to open for him.
The soldier demanded an explanation for that, but whatever his
wife said, did not seem to have convinced him, so he allegedly spent the rest of
the night chopping off all her limbs with a machete.
.Now the tale has to end here. One thing for sure, the couple
never got to live happily thereafter .... But then, this is Halloween!

The second tale happened this week. A strange guy walks into
this hotel, hire a room, forget to register himself at the reception, but he
gets a room anyway.
Then, the guy goes out and comes back with a woman, they both
go upstairs to the room, lock themselves in .... For three days!
When finally the guy comes out, he goes straight for his
breakfast, forget to pay for the room and melts into thin air .... Mm! Some
stories.
Later, hotel attendants remember to get concerned. The woman
is still asleep and it was getting to the fourth day, besides the room she was
sleeping in, was getting rather smelly!
Breaking down the door, the woman is indeed discovered to be
still asleep, but somebody had tied both her legs and arms, chewed off both her
chin and nose, plus she wasn’t breathing.
Her death wasn’t from starvation either, somebody had dug a
sharp object right into her breasts.
Mm! The things that hotel tenants do at Halloween are rather
scary!

I am not trying to spoil your day, but here goes the third
tale from our local crypt.
Everybody know this, the sad story of that poor college girl,
who was unlucky enough to be given a car lift, by two guys driving in a blue
Peugeot Saloon car.
When the Police found her later, she was dead, but still in
the same car. Somebody had put a rope round her neck and ... Eh...squeezed it.
The two guys who offered her the lift, were also still in the
car, but this time they were both stack naked. One of them saw the police and
realised that he was as naked as Adam after eating the forbidden apple, so he
ran away and hid himself ... To date.
The other guy explained that, a certain witch doctor had
actually advised them to murder the girl, then dip her body in a lake and both
of them will suddenly become as rich as Bill Gates. So they did exactly that,
but got caught on their way to Lake Duluti, for the rest of the body dipping
mission.
Halloween goes on. In fact, it bounds to climax in January,
when the holiday season is over and murderous robbers have all packed their bags
and vacated the town.
