by Our Correspondent

Mr. Devan Lohani, General Tyre (EA) CEO

The Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of General Tyre (EA) Ltd, Mr. Devan Lohani, officiated as the guest of honour at the 39th Graduation ceremony for Form IV students of Arusha Meru secondary school last Saturday.

In a inspiring address to the 111 graduating students, Lohani urged them to cultivate good habits in order to be successful in life.

Mr. Lohani warned the students that in their quest for their ultimate goals they will face constraints like finance and other limiting factors but one must persevere and never give up.

The element of luck is desirable but without hard work even that will be elusive, he said.

He reminded the students that the world is changing rapidly and that they must change with it or be left behind and that they must find answers to their problems within themselves and work hard to solve them. "There is no substitute for hard work, Mr. Lohani said.

Mr. Brij Behal, the Honorary Manager of the school, while introducing the guest of honour, urged parents to get involved in their children’s education, especially at home and also to discuss the progress of their children with their teachers.
