Enaboishu secondary awards best students

On Monday, the 5th of May 2003, a total of 33 Form Six students at Enaboishu secondary school, will be joining their counterparts countrywide in sitting for their final, high school examinations.

But even before these examinations, 20 of these graduands were awarded special prizes for outstanding performances in school.

Issued during the school graduation ceremony that was held at their premises in Arumeru last week, the Leadership awards went to 13 students, among them head prefects: Elibahati Maturo and Shani Abdallah.

Others included: Osiligi Cornelius, Neema Urio, Frida Laly, Yassy Lazaro, Neema Maturo, Kibibi Petro, Cecilia Lengiteng, Joseph Ole Ngaire, Lucas Mollel, Naserian Raphael and Namnyaki Raphael.

Academic awards went to Godwin Ludwig Maimu and Flora Aristarick Shayo while both Hashim Kassim and Cecilia Rikoyan were awarded for their discipline.

Joseph Ole Ngaire and Neema Maturo emerged again for the best sporting awards while Osiligi Cornelius and Neema Urio, once more shone in smartness.

School teacher, Siphael Martin and Maria Elibariki were also awarded for doing well in computer studies.

Enaboishu head prefect, Elibahati Maturo receiving his award for best leadership from World Vision Tanzania Director, George Mkanza.

Guest of honor during the event was the new director for World Vision Tanzania (WVT), George Mkanza who contributed 32 iron sheets for the new boys dormitory which is in dire need of 100 roofing sheets to be completed.

Parents, guest and members of the community also pledged 32 iron sheets between them, adding up to 64 iron sheets.

Owned by the Lutheran Diocese of Arusha Region, Enaboishu secondary started in 1966 with

O’ level classes before adopting an A’ level stream in 1998.

Last year, 21 students sat for the A ‘level exams of whom 19 excelled, recording a 90.4 per cent pass mark.

In 2001, the school had 24 candidates, 22 of whom passed and Enaboishu recorded a 91.6 per cent pass mark.

Lession Ole Sakinoy is Enaboishu’s second head master in the school’s 37 years, the first one being the recently retired Elisante Nnkini.
