Arusha Modern School awards best students in sports, drama

Cross cultural events thrill guests at school ceremony

Four students of the Arusha Modern School have been awarded with special prizes and certificates for their outstanding performances in sports and theater during their overall schooling time.

Mubidini Kimaro who completed Class Seven was awarded a T-shirt, a French dictionary and certificate for being the best pupil in sports.

At secondary school level, Jones Mathias a Form Four outgoing student also received a T-shirt and the book: "No Easy Walk to Freedom" for being an outstanding student in sports.

Another Arusha Modern secondary student, Joseph Cussack was awarded two books: "Serial Killers" and "Across the Bridge" for being simply the best in drama.

The "best in drama" award also went to Class Seven pupil, Moez Dalal who was also given two books: "Goose Bumps"and "Essential English".

All these awards were presented during the school’s first, combined graduation ceremony for Class Seven and Form Four graduands.

The special ceremony was colored by multi cultural activities such as Hindi dances, Swahili comedy, French songs and poems, English poems and songs and a medley of traditional dances..
