Anglican team retains district football cup

"Thou shall win all matches!" For the second year in a row, the Arusha district football league cup goes to the Altar.

The Anglican team from Christ Church Parish of Arusha has emerged the overall winner of this year’s district league with 10 points and 12 scores having played five matches, winning three. Drawing one and losing another.

Another Anglican team from St. Steven parish, is holding the second position with nine points, 11 scores. Both teams have been graduated to now play in the third division Regional League later this year.

Last year, yet another Anglican team from St. James Parish won the fourth division district league. St. James B is holding the fifth position this year.

The newly formed Arusha Bus Stand (ABS) team is holding the third position, while Canada-Tanzania is at the fourth position.

The general secretary of Arusha District Football Association (ADFA), Hussein Abdul known as "Teacher" said, Christ Church will be awarded with their victory cup sometimes this week in a brief ceremony upon which, the team is also expected to play a friendly match with Boma FC the Municipal Council team.
