Moza Msuya wins Kilimanjaro beauty crownby Nassib Majamba A day before the Miss Arusha beauty pageant last week, a similar event took place in Moshi at the Ushirika Cooperative College hall. Eight beauties paraded before the judges, each vying for the Miss Kilimanjaro 2002 beauty crown which however was won by a first year computer course student of MUTC, Moza Msuya. The eighteen year old was awarded Tsh.200,000 plus a complementary return air ticket to Dar es Salaam by Air Express. Sarah Patrick (20) who is a receptionist at Leopard Hotel became the first runner-up and was presented with Tsh.200,000 plus a return Air Express ticket to Dar es Salaam. Aurelia Mseke (20) a diploma student of International Travel and Tourism was the third winner who also got a complementary air ticket in addition to Tsh.100,000. An Arushan student at Arusha Hotel Training Institute (AHTI), Jane Nagol (21) took the fourth position and got Tsh.80,000. Miss Kilimanjaro’s 5th to 8th winners were each awarded with Tsh.50,000 cash prizes in the event which was sponsored by TBL through their Pilsner beer, Air Express, AUCNA TV and Tunakopesha. |
